When Immersive Technology Becomes Useful
There’s a stage in the life of every technology where it moves from being merely intriguing to being extremely useful and, in a way, commoditized.
That stage is often easy to miss, but not with an Anticipatory approach.
With augmented reality and virtual environments, much of the early attention focused on what these technologies could become. The conversation centered on potential rather than application.
What I’m seeing now is a gradual shift toward more usefulness.
Consumers are using AR to preview products before purchasing. Navigation tools are blending digital information into physical environments. Immersive platforms are creating spaces where people interact, spend time, and even conduct business.
These are small steps individually. But collectively, they signal that immersive tech is finding its place.
